    Building an effective compensation plan is part science and part art.  A well-designed compensation plan can assist an organization with attracting and retaining the right talent.  The math and science of building a plan is easy, but the art behind designing a compensation strategy and philosophy is more difficult and often overlooked.  In this interactive, hands-on workshop you’ll learn the science behind building a market-based compensation plan, but more importantly you’ll learn the art of designing a compensation strategy with the senior leadership team that aligns with corporate strategy.  We’ll discuss how to design a compensation philosophy, build a compensation structure, draft compensation guidelines and develop an implementation plan. 

    This session will be packed with tools, resources and take-aways that will equip you to design an effective compensation plan.

    • Participants will learn the basic components of a well-designed market-based compensation plan including compensation philosophy and strategy, a base salary structure, implementation options and communication strategies.
    • Participants will learn how to build a compensation structure that will align with the organization’s talent management strategy and support attraction and retention of key employees.
    • Participants will learn how to work with senior leaders to design a compensation philosophy that will support business priorities and help manage compensation costs.
